General

One printed copy of each manuscript together with an abstract of not more than 200 words and not more than 8 key words must be submitted to the Editor via email Word attachment format sent with an abstract and a 5-6 line bio; one inch (2.54 cm.) margins, double spaced, left justified and right ragged: Mac-formatted disks or plain ASCI text files are not acceptable.

The style guide follows the Berghahn Books House Style Guide, which is based on the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS), 14th edition. Please consult either guide for the following conventions: the use of italics, commas, and conjunctions; the positioning of punctuation and quotations marks; the presentation of numbers and dates; the use of the dash; citing references within the text. Detailed examples are provided. Please note that the journal uses U.S. punctuation and spelling, following Webster's Dictionary or The American Heritage College Dictionary

Manuscripts which have been accepted for publication but which do not conform to the ISF Style Guide will be returned to the author for amendment as Berghahn Books.
