ISF is the journal of the Association for Israel Studies, an international and interdisciplinary scholarly organization dedicated to the study of all aspects of Israeli society, history, politics, and culture. AIS recognizes, with thanks, the financial contribution of the Taub Center for Israel Studies at New York University.

Israel Studies Forum explores modern and contemporary Israel from the perspective of the social sciences, history, the humanities, and cultural studies. It also pays close attention to the relationships of Israel to the larger world, especially the Palestinians and other Arabs, the United States, Europe, and other international actors.

The editors of ISF welcome pieces (full-fledged research papers, research notes, work-in-progress reports, etc.) on recent developments and debates. One of the main tasks of the ISF is to review in a timely manner recent book on Israel-related themes.

In brief, the function of this publication is to provide a forum for a learned opinion and the latest scholarship on Israel.
